To date, there are still no clear criteria for establishing the diagnosis of endometritis according to both histological and immunohistochemical studies. There are also no generally accepted diagnostic criteria for the minimum number of plasma cells for establishing the diagnosis of endometritis. The research method was to assess the presence of visible signs of inflammation of endometritis in the yolk sac and infertile women undergoing ART treatment and to trace the correlation of these indicators according to the results of immunohistochemical analysis. It should be noted that immunohistochemical analysis of CD138 is a very accurate method for detecting chronic endometritis. The number of signs is directly correlated with the accuracy of diagnosis: the more signs, the higher the probability of confirming the diagnosis using CD138. When combining several signs of endometritis, in particular, when three or four signs are combined, the accuracy reaches 100% confirmation by immunohistochemical analysis. There is a place for active assessment of visual signs, the absence of immunohistochemical signs with minor signs was only in 64% of responses.
