Annotation:

Intensive development of industry, expansion of the range of chemicals used in agriculture, has led to environmental pollution with a whole complex of chemical factors harmful to human health, among which salts of heavy metals occupy a leading place. The liver plays a leading role in the metabolism of trace elements, acting as their main depot and ensuring the maintenance of elemental homeostasis of the body. Verification of toxic and drug-induced hepatopathies in clinical practice and experimental pathology remains a difficult diagnostic task. The generally accepted diagnostic complex includes tests for the activity of aminotransferases: alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, and lactate dehydrogenase. As part of the study, we analyzed the nature of changes in the activity of transaminases in the blood serum of female rats during a chronic experiment. The study was performed on pregnant female Wistar rats. The administration of the studied solutions was carried out intragastrically daily, starting from the first day of pregnancy and continuing for 20 days. The morphological material for analysis included an enzymatic analysis of the blood of pregnant female rats obtained on the 13th and 20th days of experimental exposure. The analysis of biochemical parameters confirms the pronounced hepatotoxic effect of cadmium chloride in the studied dose in pregnant female rats. Isolated administration of the metal led to a persistent cytolytic effect: ALT activity increased by 2–2.25 times, AST by 1.5 times, LDH by 1.3 times relative to control values. With the combined administration of succinates of biogenic metals with cadmium chloride, tendencies were determined to restore biochemical parameters of the blood of rats towards control values. The overall dynamics confirm that zinc succinate and iron succinate effectively reduce liver cell destruction caused by chronic cadmium poisoning.
