The laboratory rat has 3 separate lacrimal glands, namely the extraorbital, infraorbital and Harderian glands. The aim of the stuty to obtain and compare the stromal-vascular and stromal-parenchymal indices of the extraorbital, infraorbital and Harderian glands of the laboratory rat. The obtained morphometric data in different loci of the extraorbital gland indicate a decrease in the stromal-parenchymal index in the direction from the gate of the individual gland to its periphery by 3.83 times. The least pronounced changes in the lobular ratio of stroma to parenchyma occur within one and two adjacent lobules of the gland, where the difference is 1.27 units. The vascular-parenchymal index indicators at different levels of this gland differ slightly. In the infraorbital lacrimal gland, the stromal-parenchymal index gradually decreases from the level of the gland's gate towards the individual lobule and directly within it, the difference between these loci is 4.09 units. The vascular-parenchymal indices within two adjacent lobules and within the lobule are 0.14 and 0.11 units, respectively, that is, practically identical. The stromal-parenchymal index at the level of the gate of the Harderian gland is 2.68 units, at the level of two adjacent lobules 1.62 and within one lobule 0.69. The numerical value of the index decreased by 3.8 times, the difference in indices within two and one lobule is 2.3 units. The vascular-parenchymal index in the gate of the gland is 0.41, and at the level of adjacent and one lobule it is 0.31 and 0.21 units, respectively. The difference between the maximum and minimum indicators here is almost 2 units, and the difference between the indicators within two and one lobule is almost 1.5 units. A gradual decrease in the thickness of the connective tissue layers towards the terminal sections is observed in all lacrimal glands of the laboratory rat, which contributes to closer contact with exchange microvessels and nerve fibers.
