Physiological effects of stress are often manifested in the gastrointestinal tract. Studies of regulated cell death of ileal enterocytes, which is unique in its digestive and absorption functions, as well as in its microbial composition, under stress conditions, are becoming relevant. The aim of the study was to evaluate the functional state of enterocytes, namely apoptotic and non-apoptotic (necrosis and autophagy) cell death of the ileum under ex- perimental early life stress in mice, which has not been studied before. Early life stress was applied as a model of neo- natal maternal separation described in the literature (12 sessions). New data were obtained that under conditions of experimental early life stress, a decrease in enterocyte viability and an increase in apoptotic and non-apoptotic death were observed.
