The article discusses the peculiarities of dental care for military personnel with psychoemotional disorders, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), increased anxiety, and adaptation disorders. The aim of the study is to analyze the main problems and justify a comprehensive approach to dental care for military personnel with adjustment disorders and psychoemotional disorders based on an analysis of current scientific literature. The analysis included scientific articles, literature reviews, and clinical cases related to dental care for military personnel with psychoemotional disorders. Observations show that the prevalence of dental diseases among military personnel is significantly higher than in civilian patients. In addition, military personnel with chronic psychoemotional disorders often neglect visits to the dentist, which leads to complications and progression of diseases. A comprehensive model of dental care has been proposed, which includes: the use of questionnaires to identify elevated levels of anxiety, PTSD, or other disorders prior to dental treatment; patient preparation prior to the procedure — explaining each step, familiarizing the patient with the instruments, establishing a signal for the patient to stop, using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or specialized dental programs (D-CBT) to reduce fear and anxiety and increase adherence to treatment, medication sedation, if necessary – oral sedatives, intravenous sedation or light general anesthesia for complex cases, collaboration between dentists and psychotherapists, psychiatrists for joint treatment planning, risk assessment, and patient monitoring, creation of specialized dental centers for military personnel, mobile dental teams, integration of dental care into mental rehabilitation programs. Effective dental care for military personnel with adjustment disorders and psychoemotional disorders requires a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach. The combination of psychological screening, adapted communication, behavioral interventions, and medication-assisted sedation when indicated increases the safety and effectiveness of treatment. The proposed model can be used as a basis for the development of clinical protocols and preventive programs in the military and civilian dentistry system.
