Injuries related to severe limb injuries of the musculoskeletal system. Their difficulty is due to static and dynamic disorders and complexity of rehabilitation procedures and, in this regard, temporary disability and long-term sustainable reduction of life of those affected. According to the literature, in a traffic accident rate of multiple and combined injuries is 10%. The structure injuries account for 60-65% of injured limbs. Today, the industrial countries trauma is the leading cause of death for people under the age of 40 years. More than 50% of injured persons younger than 40 years, which is the cause of significant health and social problems, and huge economic losses. In England, the economic losses due to fatal injuries are estimated at 2. 2 billion pounds, which is 1 % of the national production (EA Driscoll, 1992). Mortality from injury among people 40 years of age is higher than cardiovascular disease and cancer, trauma and employment beds than beds for cardiac and cancer patients. Disability resulting from trauma is 28-50 %, and its main cause is damage to the musculoskeletal system. The high output of disability due not only to the severity of the injury, but also errors in first aid, the diagnosis of injuries of the limbs and rehabilitation. Object and methods. Analyzed 185 medical records affected by the trauma of the extremities in Ukraine in Dnipropetrovsk interregional traumatology MSEK number 1, who were treated in trauma departments of various hospitals. All patients were recognized disabilities of various groups. Patients were divided according to sex Depending on the cause of injury, patients were divided into two groups – manufacturing and nonmanufacturing Results and discussion. Results and discussion. In the study of the causes of injuries of the extremities revealed the following patterns. The most common injuries are treated men ( 74. 6 %). In this category is dominated by young victims (50. 3 %) and average ( 47. 6 %) age. Much less were elderly patients (2. 1% ), this indicates that the most vulnerable are the group of men aged 25 to 60 years, which may indicate a connection with the production of injuries as a result of non-observance of safety or improper organization of their work. Typically, injuries get more «active» population. In the study of production and non- injury was determined that the majority of injuries of the extremities is non-productive ( 85. 9 %). In a detailed analysis of the injury were found unproductive dominance of domestic injuries ( 81. 1 %). The second most frequently the cause of injury is non-productive traffic accidents (12. 6 %). Other causes of limb injuries account for a small percentage. So unproductive injuries among the main etiological factors are household trauma and injury in a traffic accident. In the current economic conditions, the finance industry, the development of primary prevention of injury will prevent economic losses associated with the costs of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities due to injuries of the extremities. Conclusions. Injuries to the extremities often treated men ( 74. 6 %). Most injured patients younger (50. 3%) and average age (47. 6%). Often met nonproductive trauma ( 85. 5 %), among which is dominated by domestic (81. 1%). Prospects for further research. The statistical distribution identified during this analysis will be used for further work on the prevention and reduction of disability for injuries of the upper and lower extremities.
