Physical activity in modern conditions is one of the leading factors in preserving somatic health and psycho-emotional resilience, especially under conditions of chronic stress. The aim is to perform a comprehensive analysis of modern determinants of physical activity among the adult population and student youth under conditions of martial law, as well as to determine the impact of leading motivational factors on the formation of the physical activity regime of various population groups. Methods are analysis and generalization of literary sources; surveying using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ); methods of descriptive and variational sta- tistics. It was established that there are no significant differences between men and women in the duration of high and moderate-intensity physical activity. However, clear age patterns exist: among youth, the duration of high-intensity physical activity significantly exceeds the indicators in older age groups. Among students, 62,9% (61/97) have a high level of physical activity, while among adults, this indicator is only 35,1% (40/114) of those surveyed. The priority internal motives for all groups are improving health (62,6% (132/211)) and psycho-emotional state (41,7% (88/211)). For youth, a specific stimulus is the desire to increase physical fitness (62,9% (61/97)), and for women – normalization of body weight (19,2% (25/130)). The main barriers to regular exercise were identified as a lack of time (especially among women – 40,8% (53/130)), emotional exhaustion, and security risks associated with military actions (67,6% (25/97) among youth). A declarative nature of motivation was revealed in a part of the population with a low level of physical activity, which requires the development of targeted programs to stimulate a healthy lifestyle in crisis conditions.
