The article examines changes in the quantitative index of cells of the monocyte-macrophage lineage in the con nective tissue of the testis expressing CD163+ receptors during chemical castration with triptorelin over a one-year observation period with the addition of quercetin. In our study, we carefully traced the dynamics of the population of specific CD163+ macrophages in the testicular interstitium under conditions of triptorelin-induced chemical castra tion. These findings contribute to a better understanding of how the organ’s immune system responds to profound hormonal alterations. Based on the performed morphometric and immunohistochemical analysis, it was established that prolonged administration of triptorelin leads to chronic immunoinflammatory remodeling of the testis. The ac cumulation of CD163+ macrophages represents a key link in the mechanism of replacement of the functional tissue of the organ with connective tissue, which ultimately results in an irreversible decline in reproductive potential in the experimental model. Administration of triptorelin combined with the addition of quercetin to the diet of experimen tal rats results in a stable and progressive increase in the population of CD163+ macrophages in the connective tissue of the testis throughout the entire one-year period. The dynamics demonstrate a nonlinear pattern, with accelera tion observed between the 3rd and 6th months (days 90-180). The total increase in the indicator by day 365 reached 213.41% relative to the baseline level.
