Heading:
MODERN ACHIEVEMENTS AND PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF HIGHER MEDICAL EDUCATION
Type of article:
Scientific article
Annotation:
The article examines the use of digital technologies in surgical departments of medical universities in the professional training of future doctors under martial law. The potential of information and communication technologies, mobile devices, distance and blended learning platforms, webinars, educational videos, electronic algorithms, simulation resources and virtual clinical scenarios is described in terms of maintaining continuity of the educational process and practising surgical skills when access to clinical settings is limited. Based on the summarized experience of senior students in using internet resources for learning, it is shown that combining traditional formats (clinical classes, work in simulation centres) with digital tools enhances motivation, promotes the development of clinical thinking and information-communication competencies, and improves readiness to act in emergency and war-related trauma situations. The main advantages and limitations of digital technologies in wartime are outlined, as well as promising directions for further development of the digital infrastructure of surgical departments within the system of higher medical education in Ukraine.
