ASSESSMENT OF MORPHOMETRIC CHANGES IN THE ANGIOARCHITECTONICS OF THE TESTIS UNDER EXPERIMENTAL DIABETES MELLITUS

To diagnose complications of diabetes mellitus, it is essential to understand the structural features and blood supply of the organs affected by diabetes mellitus. The vessels of the haemomicrocirculatory bed play an important role in immune processes. The frequency of vascular damage (micro- and macroangiopathy) in diabetes mellitus ranges from 68% to 91%. Peripheral vascular damage in these patients is observed 30 times more often than in people of the same age without diabetes mellitus. Numerous studies have been devoted to this problem. Domestic and foreign scientists have studied the mechanism of development of diabetic angiopathies. There are many unresolved issues regarding morphological changes in organs and their haemomicrocirculatory bed in diabetes mellitus, qualitative and quantitative changes in the angioarchitectonics of rat organs in experimental diabetes mellitus, and the problems of successfully selecting the most effective methods of treating vascular disorders of organs in diabetes mellitus, which is undoubtedly due to insufficient study of the morphological features of the pathogenesis of microcirculatory disorders at different stages of diabetic microangiopathy. The paper presents the results of a study of the blood vessels of the testicle of a white rat under normal conditions and the blood supply to the rat testicle under conditions of experimental diabetes mellitus. The testicle of a white rat is supplied with blood by the testicular artery, which branches off from the abdominal aorta, the seminal duct artery, and the artery of the testicular elevator muscle. Morphological and morphometric analysis of the angiarchitectonics of the testicle allowed us to assess the state of its vascularisation in normal conditions and under conditions of streptozotocin-induced diabetes mellitus. The depth of structural changes in the blood vessels of the testis of white rats with diabetes mellitus correlates with morphometric indicators.
