Annotation:
The article presents the results of biochemical studies in persons with periodontal tissue diseases against the background of concomitant chronic tonsillitis. The aim of the study was to analyze the values of the parameters of lipid peroxidation and the antioxidant defense system in the blood of persons with periodontal tissue diseases with concomitant chronic tonsillitis. The results of the study convincingly indicated an increased imbalance in the system of lipid peroxidation and antioxidant protection in patients with a comorbid course of chronic tonsillitis and periodontal diseases, which acquired more pronounced changes depending on the severity of periodontal lesions.
