Current epidemiological studies indicate that the largest number of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the female reproductive system are caused by opportunistic bacteria that are part of the normal microflora. Such diseases do not have specific signs of inflammation. They are asymptomatic, making them difficult to diagnose, which in turn leads to chronicity, disrupts reproductive functions and negatively affects patients' quality of life. We studied the native material of female patients of the perinatal centre of Municipal Non-Profit Dnipro Clinical Hospital No. 9, who were diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections. The study aimed to investigate changes in laboratory parameters in common associations of bacterial vaginosis with pathogenic and opportunistic flora; and to compare the disease rates among women of reproductive age in the city of Dnipro in 2021-2022. The work had two stages. The first stage was the analysis of a statistical sample. The material was selected based on a positive result for the presence of Gardnerella vaginalis in the urogenital tract of women; the presence of additional flora, namely Ureaplasma urealyticum, Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma hominis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae and fungal flora. The second stage is the analysis of the results. The statistical processing of the results was carried out using a standard computer program - Microsoft Excel 2019. The material for the study is applied to a slide and mixed with a drop of isotonic sodium chloride solution. The mixture is covered with a cover slip and examined under a microscope at 900x magnification. A total of 779 samples were analysed in 2021-2022. The highest percentage of detected BV among the total number of subjects was recorded in 2022 (13.2% - 457 women).
