Cardiovascular disease remains a major problem in Ukraine, that impact to mortality and morbidity. Purpose — to determine value of genealogic, dermatoglific investigation for screening the persons with predisposition to cardiovascular disease. The object of research and methods: 16 persons, constituting from relatives of a proband, included the parents and their native brothers and sisters, grandparents, cousins. 10 (62.5%) persons from 16 were the closest circle of relatives to proband, except for cousins. Age of investigated: 6-80 years. 1 person (6.25%) out of 16 died from myocardial infarction. 2 persons (13%) from 16 had arterial hypertension, including 1 — essential hypertension (EH), II stage, 2 grade, 1 — EH III stage, 2-3 grade, with stroke in anamnesis. In 1 (6.25%) determined rheumatoid arthritis. The control group consisted from 32 healthy persons 18-28 years, including 21 women and 11 men. Genealogical and dermatoglyphical methods were basic of investigation. Statistical methods of data evaluation included non-parametric variant (according to the program Statistica for Windows Release 5.1, 1984-1998 by StatSoft, Inc.). Genealogy research included collecting of information about relatives of proband, the relationship between them, presence or absence of diseases; compilation of graphic pedigree, its analysis and the prognosis. Dermatoglyphic study was conducted by the method of fingerprinting surfaces phalanges, using paint. The results of research. Ulnar loops on all the fingers of right hand were typical manifestations for 48 from 80 scallops in 16 relatives of proband in compare with 4 from 155 patterns in 31 healthy subjects (P by Fisher exact method equal 0.00001). Ulnar loop on all the fingers of the right and left hands were typical manifestations on 101 from 160 patterns in 16 proband relatives in compare with 66 from 310 patterns in 31 healthy subjects (P by Fisher exact method equal 0.00001). Whorls on all fingers of left hand were typical manifestations for 29 of the 155 scallops in 31 healthy subjects in compare with 4 from 80 scallops in the 16 relatives of the proband (P by Fisher exact method equal 0.0048). Arcs on all the fingers of left hand were typical manifestations for 57 from 155 scallops in 31 healthy persons in compare with 18 from 80 scallops in the 16 relatives of the proband (P by Fisher exact method equal 0.0275). Thus, сomparison of genealogy, psychogenetic, dermatoglific characteristics of investigated indicates the proband propensity to cardiovascular disease, distress, adverse reactions to drugs.
