Purpose of Research. The purpose of the study is to define the systemic aspects of prophylactic measures for health protection. Object and Methods of Research. The object of the study is prophylactic aspects of information-methodological system in the field of health protection. Results and their Discussion. Theoretical study, performed by the author according to applied system analy- sis, developed individually, allowed to go to the following key systemic aspects of the content of the “prophylaxis” concept, i. e., prophylaxis from the system point of view, which are the following: actions orientation; function (the action itself); task that needs to be solved; elimination of conditions that lead to disharmony in the life of individual person or group of people (population); enhancement of protective functions of the individual or population due to their encouragement and support (for population it is a set of public health measures, recreation, implementation of legislation of law, family, marriage, etc). Consequently, prophylaxis aims at building of the system, where process of normal vital functions of both indi- vidual and population are stable and purposeful. Then, the purpose of prophylaxis for individual (according to the health state of “healthy” or “apparently healthy”) is to build the system with dependability, in which the person reasonably relies on the implementation of the actions for which this system has been designed. It should be admitted that this assumes an understanding of prophylaxis as actions that are directed onto the current processes for its stable functioning. At the same time, the purpose of prophylaxis for the population is to achieve stable direction of health processes flow (processes are going by themselves); to achieve fixed tendency relating to directional trends of health pro- cesses according to required indications (“+” or “-” signs). Regarding the release of classification of prophylaxis, the latter should be derived from components of the «health» concept. Taking into consideration that such components are three, i. e., inner viability, outer viability and limiting life interval, then methodological and, correspondently, information-methodological background of clas- sification of prophylaxis is the following gradation of actions (measures): 1. Purely “internal” prophylaxis, i. e., activity aims at prevention and elimination of negative current processes inside system object (individual, family, population); 2. Purely “external” prophylaxis i. e., activity aims at prevention and elimination of negative current processes in system object’s (individual, family, population) habitat, vital activity (both physical and social); 3. “ External-internal” and “internal-external” prophylaxis, i. e., activity aims at prevention and elimination of negative functional changes inside or outside of system object (individual, citizens, population). The abovementioned makes it evident that prophylaxis is an integral component of both health and health care system administration, and its structural division should be fully agreed with structural components of the “health”concept. According to this, system classification of prophylaxis requires the formation of new (or updating the existing ones) structures of information and methodical support of management decisions in the field of health protection. Conclusion. Structural components of «prophylaxis» system concept have been defined. System classification of prophylaxis in health protection practice has been proposed.
