RESEARCH TRENDS ON OXIDATIVE STRESS AT YOUNG SWIMMING ATHLETES: ANALYTICAL ANALYSIS OF DATA FROM INTERNATIONAL SCIENTOMETRIC BASES

Annotation:
The paper presents the results of analytical analysis of scientific data placed in the Scopus scientometric database, in accordance with the research question posed to us: the specifics of oxidative stress formation in young athletes specializing in swimming. A review of the scientometric database data made it possible to identify 16 relevant publications, close in content to the problem field of our research, and thematic modeling of their annotations made it possible to identify four key thematic sections - clusters. The content of each cluster was analyzed and compared with each other according to the following indicators: thematic focus of the cluster's research; characteristics of the methodological basis of the works included in the cluster; specifics of the contingent of those surveyed; a possible reference point for further research within this thematic cluster. Using SWOT analysis, we identified the strengths and weaknesses of each thematic section of research, formulated potential opportunities for expanding scientific research, and identified risk factors for conducting research within each cluster separately. Thus, our analytical analysis of scientific data made it possible to present the prospects of four separate directions of organizing and conducting research on oxidative stress in young athletes-swimmers.
