Chronic cystitis is a common condition in urological practice, characterised by a wide range of clinical manifes tations that persist over a prolonged period, adversely affecting patients’ overall well-being and quality of life. The persistence of symptoms often leads to the development of anxiety disorders in women of various age groups, which in turn contributes to the intensification of pain syndrome and dysuric symptoms. The aim of the study was to assess the quality of life and anxiety levels in patients with chronic cystitis across different age groups and to conduct a comparative analysis in relation to socio-demographic characteristics and the severity of pain symptoms. The study included 165 patients, from whom control and main groups were formed. Based on menopausal status, the main group was further divided into subgroups Ia (premenopausal women) and Ib (postmenopausal women). Quality of life, anxiety levels, and the severity of pelvic pain symptoms were evaluated. The results were subjected to statistical analysis. It was found that the overall quality of life in women with chronic cystitis, both pre- and postmenopausal, was significantly lower than in the control group. A comprehensive evaluation of pelvic pain was associated with lower scores on the physical functioning, pain intensity, vitality, and mental health scales. Regarding anxiety, results in the main group, regardless of age, were statistically higher than those in the control group. The data obtained in dicate a marked impact of chronic cystitis on quality of life and anxiety levels among women of different age groups. The observed correlations between disease duration, the presence of a sexual partner, and patients’ psycho-emotion al state suggest the need for further research into the complex interplay between somatic and psychogenic factors.
