Early detection of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and working out of programs under prevention their development since childhood is scientifically important and practically significant because early detection of patho- logical tendencies in the development of cardiovascular disorders and adequate correction at the given category of patients can essentially affect the health state of adult population. The purpose of the study – based on international experience and modern recommendations to highlight prior- ity directions for prevention of cardiovascular diseases at children and adolescents. Methods: Information and analytical, comparative and systematic analysis. Results and discussions. Analysis of official statistical reports testifies that over the period 2001-2012 years, changes have happened in structure of prevalence of diseases among adolescents, including the largest increase along with such classes of diseases like tumors, congenital malformations, diseases of the blood and blood-form- ing organs and respiratory, have also cardiovascular diseases. Thus, from 2001 to 2012 the largest increase is marked for the following classes of diseases as neoplasms (by 103,7% – from 6,7 to 13,65 per 1000), congenital malformations (by 96,9% – from 12,2 to 24,0 per 1000), diseases of the circulatory system (by 80,7% – from 41,8 to 75,5 per 1000), blood and blood-forming organs (by 72,8% – from 11,02 to 19,04 1000), and respiratory (57,4% – from 467,6 to 736,2 per 1000). In accordance with the recommendations of modern cardiology general approaches to prevention CVD must be based on the concept of risk factors for cardiovascular disease. The implementation of this strategy involves the tasks in the following directions – promoting healthy lifestyles for children and adolescents and early detection, first of all, hypertension, dyslipidemia, excess body weight and glucose intolerance, followed by their timely correction. By existing orders of MoH of Ukraine is regulated that preventive direction in health care is provided with network of health centers and primary link of medical care. However, today, in primary care there are no relevant experts, such as experts of healthand educational direction of activities, which could perform professionally work on hygiene education of attached child’s population, and therapeutic function, which is carried out by family doctors not always enables them the opportunity to fully carry out preventive work for lack of time. Therefore alliance with regional health centers and the network of primary medical care should be the main basis of prevention CVD process. Key measures, which should be implemented in the work of the alliance should be focused on development of prevention and promotion of healthy lifestyles (epidemiological monitoring, information and communication cam- paign, methodology to ensure conditions for healthy lifestyle, definition of health level and risk groups for devel- opment CVD) and on development of primary health care (early detection of CVD, dispensary supervision over patients). Such strategy, which is the basis of healthy lifestyle, increase motivation for their own health and health of associates, pre nosological approach to the assessment of health state and functional status of the body, early detection of the most common pathological conditions of the cardiovascular system and an accompanying pathol- ogy, preventive work with patients at risk groups of CVD or their exacerbation is modern, cost-effective for the state as evidenced by the WHO recommendations.
