Annotation:

The fifth critical period of development (13–14 years) is characterized by hormonal instability and increased sensitivity of the body to physical loads, which determines the need to assess the immune status of young athletes. The aim is to study the immunological resistance of 13–14-year-old boys engaged in futsal. Thirty participants were examined, including 15 young futsal players and 15 non-athletes. Immune status was assessed based on peripheral blood parameters with calculation of integrated immunohematological indices. Young futsal players dem- onstrated a preserved level of non-specific resistance, an increase in the immunological resistance index by 10.33%, and a 2.07-fold decrease in allergization compared to non-athletes. The obtained results indicate the development of adaptive immune mechanisms in response to regular training loads and emphasize the importance of monitoring the immune status of young athletes during critical periods of development.
