The main requirement of the accelerated rehabilitation program is surgical safety, which is ensured by optimal preoperative preparation, quality of surgical intervention, prevention and early detection of postoperative complications, and audit The study is devoted to the analysis of the accelerated postoperative program in patients with gastric cancer. 50 patients in the control group (46.7% of the study population, 28 men and 22 women aged 57.7 (49.2; 64.2) years) were treated using the traditional method. 57 patients in the main group (53.3% of the total number of subjects, 37 men and 20 women aged 59.1 (52.1; 65.7) years) received treatment using their own method (with management according to the protocol based on the recommendations of the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery Society). Analysis of the results of the current study showed that statistically significant differences (p<0.001) were found between patients in the main and control groups according to the main comparison criteria, which allow proving the effectiveness of the implementation of the accelerated recovery program in patients with locally advanced gastric cancer. The introduction of the accelerated rehabilitation protocol of patients into clinical practice allows significant ly reducing the duration of hospital stay (i.e., increasing the bed turnover of the medical institution), accelerating the recovery of the gastrointestinal tract function and restoring the working capacity of patients in a short time without reducing the effectiveness of treatment.
