Cadmium is a toxic heavy metal that accumulates in various internal organs, which leads to impaired function. Zinc is an important metal that plays a key role in the structure of proteins, catalysis and regulation of their functions. It exhibits antagonistic activity towards cadmium. The aim of the study was to experimentally determine the degree of cadmium accumulation in embryos and modify the effect of zinc succinate on the embryotoxicity of cadmium chloride. The zinc succinate complex leads to a decrease in the accumulation of cadmium in rat embryos when they are administered together. There is a decrease in the embryonic toxicity of cadmium chloride with the combined administration of the studied substances, which is manifested in an increase in the number of live fetuses in this group to the control level and a decrease in embryonic mortality by an average of 2 times.
