Oxidative stress is a key pathogenetic factor leading to impaired spermatogenesis and, consequently, to reduced fertility and impairment of male reproductive health. The aim of the work was to investigate the effects of substances that increase the generation of free radicals (H₂O₂), particularly their concentration, on the viability of epididymal spermatozoa in order to model oxidative stress in vitro. Results: under conditions of oxidative stress (both “moderate” and “severe”), there is a decrease in viable cells and an increase in apoptotic, necrotic, and autophagic spermatozoa.
