Annotation:

Determining correlations to identify and quantify relationships between various indicators of oral health helps in the prediction, diagnosis, and development of effective treatment methods for generalized periodontitis. The method of investigation is the identification of correlations between clinical indicators, non-specific oral mucosa and the common microbiome of periodontal guts in patients with generalization periodontitis (GP) The dental status of patients with GP on the background of the combined course of chronic cholecystitis (CC) and pancreatitis (CP) was assessed using the PMA indices according to C. Parma, PI according to Russel, IG according to Green-Vermillion. The state of periodontal vessels – according to the data of the Kulazhenko vacuum test and gingival papillae thermometry. The activity of lysozyme in oral fluid was determined according to V.G. Dorofeychuk. Correlation analysis between individual quantitative characteristics was performed using the Pearson correlation coefficient (r). The maximum number of significant correlations in patients with GP with a combined course of CC and CP was for the indicator of the total microbial population of periodontal pockets, which was directly proportionally correlated with the indicators of GI according to Green-Vermillion (r=0.64), PI according to Russell (r=0.65) and the depth of periodontal pockets (r = 0.61) and inversely proportionally with the indicator of vacuum diagnostics according to Kulazhenko (r= -0.53). The development of gingivitis depends on the hygienic condition of the oral cavity and the degree of destructive changes in periodontal tissues. In turn, the severity of gingivitis in patients with CC and CP is in a direct significant relationship (r=0.65) with the degree of total microbial population of periodontal pockets.
